I've been using parts of this theme on my Mint 14 / Cinnamon laptop and love the simple elegance of it. I believe this theme was available from the pre-installed downloads with Mint 14 though it's been a while so I'm not sure. I recently installed Mint 16 in a virtualbox to mess around with, and cannot get this theme to even show up as available when I unzip it to /usr/share/themes or ~./themes. It simply doesn't show up... Is it just incompatible with GTK 3.8, or am I doing something wrong? Will you be upgrading it for 3.8?

you have to log out then back in. It's better in a live session to put it in "/user/shared/themes" from what I recall.

I don't ever remember it being included in any Mint releases. I'd have noticed, as it's one of my all-time fav's and I have to manually add it myself.

Yep,you don't have installed required engines,or you have problem with permissions. If you have installed all GTK2 engines, try to put theme to ~/.themes folder.

Xfce 4.10 on the boat
unzipping your theme in ~/.themes/xfwm4/
but nothing change in "Appearance"

Head over to the Xfce forums instead.
So this is a GTK theme, and as such you'll need to install Gnome 3 to get it to work- which probably wouldn't be worth it, being that you're on a linux distribution which intentionally is using Xfce, which is a stripped down "General User Interface" (GUI) window manager, (so supposed to use less resources than, say Gnome or KDE, etc...)
-which is why probably no one responded for 6+ months...

However...
There ARE nice Xfce themes- as around on the freeBSD and get acquainted with what FreeBSD is "running" for the GUI, so you can get the different parts (I.E. GTK is a general theme, but Metacity is a window manager -the top bar and menu and buttons, etc).

What cells? In Calc or Writer or? And how you do that,I am not so familiar with Calc? What are the steps to reproduces it?

:iconaurel0744:

The problem is on Calc.

- click on a cell to select it
- In the top menu, choose a background color for the cell (you can choose the font color or the background of the cell). Normally, when you select a color, the cell is colored instantly.

The "bug" :
When I use the OMG Gtk+ theme, the color cell don't change when I select a background color.
If I double-click on the cell to edit it, the color appear, but if I quit the cell, the color disappear.
If I replace the OMG theme by Adwaita, the cells colors appear.

I've tried to open my document on Gnumeric and the cells are colored.

Ive make a Printscreen with OMG and another with Adwaita.

On the first, all the cells are without color, on the second, the colored cells are ok.

Love the theme, but I'd like to request a fix. I can't do controlled selection in Thunar or PCmanFM because the selection box is invisible. Hold ctrl and use arrow keys and spacebar to navigate and toggle selection. You can't see the cursor.

That's a really good theme.

I'd like to report this bug occuring to me, with GTK 3.6. There are a few glitches with tabs (shown in left) and inside buttons with text or icons (shown in right). But when they are hovered, it looks ok unless I hover the folder it is in, for example.
I'm really bad at describing this, so an image will speak better.

Awesome!
There's a lot of tweaking and fine-tuning required (or huge amounts of designer-luck) to get dark themes to be looking good and readable in any given situation.

You got that straight really well, that's by far the most pretty and usable dark theme I've seen.

Love the colour scheme. Looks great.
But how do I change menu line spacing? When I right click, the context menu is very tall. How do I decrease the amount of space between each line? I would prefer my menus to be smaller, not taller. I would be willing the change these myself, but I don't know which line to edit.
Thanks in advance.

Great style! I hope you keep up the good work and you certainly deserve the high marks it's received.

I would like to see a small change implemented if possible: a fuller skinning of the keyboard layout.

[link]

The white keys are blinding against the cool black background... My physical keyboard is dark in color, so I would like my virtual keyboards to match suit! This is particularly salient to me because I work with several keyboard layouts and like to preview them before adding them to my list. If you can't get around to this, I might dive in there and try to add in the style myself -- as soon as I figure out where to put the code and what format it should take.

I love this theme a lot, it looks nice and has a modern OS feel to it without being garishly coloured like the default Gnome theme. The only thing i am not liking is the size of the menubar and subsequent menus. Is there some way to make this bar smaller in size, somewhere in the config files perhaps

I am using system font size 9,and I adjusted to that size. I know many people uses bigger font size and probably it looks disproportionally. I will work around this problem in next update.
